Mental Health Care for Real Life
Marriage and Family Intern focusing on anxiety, depression, life adjustments, and attachment with individuals, couples, and families
About Me
I was born in San Francisco, California, and raised in the East Bay. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics with a minor in Education Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2023. Following my undergraduate studies, I began my graduate training at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am in my penultimate term, with an expected graduation date of September 2026.
Currently, I am completing my practicum at a public high school, where I work within the Special Education program supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). In this role, I focus on students’ emotional and social development, providing support aligned with their individualized goals and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student well-being and academic success.
Upon graduation, I plan to pursue licensure as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, continuing to build my clinical experience and deepen my work with adolescents, adults, and couples.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading - particularly romance and fantasy. I have a lifelong love of animals and have ridden horses for much of my life. I also enjoy staying active through weightlifting and exploring new restaurants, food, and wine!
Areas of Focus
Trauma-Informed Approach
My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, supporting emotional regulation, safety, and resilience, with attention to how past experiences shape present patterns.
Culturally Responsive Practice
I integrate cultural identity, context, and lived experience into treatment, approaching each client with cultural humility and clinical attunement.
Relational & Systemic Perspective
I conceptualize concerns within the context of relationships, family dynamics, and broader systems, with focus on identifying and shifting interactional patterns.
Connect & Collaborate
I am eager to engage with fellow practitioners and organizations that honor the intersection of lived experience and systemic healing. If you are seeking a dedicated MFT intern who values empathetic, culturally attuned collaboration and trauma-aware advocacy, please reach out. I would love to connect!
